Outline
  In this course students study 3 aspects mainly. First they learn how to understand what kind of information agricultural statistics show us. Particularly farms management statistics which show us the revenue and the cost of each item give us precious hint how to reform the management. Secondly, participants will obtain the knowledge on agricultural policy. Farmers can’t fail to notice important information including explanation about subsidies. Thirdly, students will study about agricultural cooperatives, which is very important for farmers to get information about the price fluctuation of each item, for example. This course aims to master the department’s DP1.

Objectives
  Through this course participants can obtain the following results.
They can obtain the knowledge how to read agricultural statistics. Furthermore they can collect new statistics by themselves through visiting several farms. They can obtain the knowledge about the agricultural policy of central government. As the Ministry of Agriculture has been changing its policy incessantly, it is indispensable to keep up with the Minister’s information. They can obtain the knowledge about market conditions of each item by communicating with the agricultural cooperative. Thus students can obtain the same information which farmers acquire every day.
