The administration linking closely to the citizen life in various fields, such as welfare, school education, fire defense, road/river management,and other social infrastructures, is conducted in most cases by the local government. So the total amount of expenditures made by local governments is about double that of the central government. Regional finance plays an extremely important role, so to speak, as one of the two wheels of a vehicle, together with national finance.
The students will learn practical matters including the budget system, securing funds through regional financial planning, local public enterprise, and the rules for making regional soundness, roleplaying as if they were general finance managers of Tochigi Prefecture.
The students will also study the financial system in foreign countries. (The professor is an honorary research fellow at the University of Birmingham in England.
The students can get the knowledge,accoplishment and attitude of DP(1・2・3）.
