Outline
You will learn the fundamental theory about the significance of preserving museum materials, the conservation of museum materials, the preservation environment of museum materials, environmental protection and the role of museum. In the lectures, we will use Power Point presentation and some references.
2.
Objectives
You will learn the preservation theory for museum collections in “Museology 4". This class aims in order for students to understand the scientific attitude of the exhibition and storage environments of collections in the museum, and the technical knowledge of collections preservation in good condition for a long period of time. We will also learn the existing situation of the museum backyard from museum curators engaging collections preservation through the tour for students to study at the museum.
