1.
Outline
Important points will be explained for every item in the Constitution focusing on the articles and the judicial precedents of the Constitution. The first half of the Constitution (Articles 1 to 40) is covered in The Constitution of Japan Ⅰ.
In this course, the second half of the Constitution (Articles 41 to 99) will be explained.
This class is mainly conducted in lecture form, but I may ask each student to give presentation appropriately.
In this class, you will acquire knowledge, techniques and attitudes about DP 3.
2.
Objectives
All public officials have the obligation to respect and uphold the Constitution of Japan (Article 99), so therefore an accurate understanding of the Constitution is a requisite in the execution of official affairs.
In addition, in the civil service examination, Constitution-related questions are set both in the special examination and in the general culture examination (about politics and economics).
With the background of these circumstances, in this course, we aim to be able to master the fundamentals and precise knowledge about the Constitution that the students can sufficiently prepare for the civil service examination.
