Outline
The new trends of tourism such as “agri-tourism” and “food-tourism” will be analyzed by examining the literature about the cases in Italy. The possibilities of local tourism will be discussed comparing the cases in Italy and Japan. This class relates to DP1 and DP2.

Objectives
The students will get essential skills to read and analyze the essential literature about tourism. They will get also the abilities to collect the related materials and to present and discuss about them.

Grading Policy
Presentation (60%) and discussions (40%) in the class.

Requirements (Assignments)
To read the textbook and to write the presentation materials before the class is required. After the class, collecting the related materials such as books, papers, and reports about the histories and the situations of the regions focused in the class are also required. Two hours works will be needed for a class.
