Outline
This class is designated to achieve Educational Goals 1, 2, and 3 of the General Basic Subjects. This course aims to help students develop practical English reading and wrighting skills. The students will learn the basics of writing in English such as formulaic expressions, appropriate wording for typical situations, and linguistic and cultural differences from Japanese sentences.
Most of the study in this course will be done at home with the two tasks (Task A and Task B) of the textbook. The students are supposed to submit each task no later than its deadline. When you finish Task A, you will submit it by mail or online. If your Task A has passed, you will move on to work on Task B. Concernig Task B, the similar process will be repeated. When you know that you have succeeded in both tasks, you are going to apply for the final examination and take it on the fixed date.

Requirements (Assignments)
Preparation for 1 hour: Referring to the supprementary learning material, solve the problems in the textbook. Read carefully the explanations in the learning material.
Review for 30 minutes: Check carefully the teacher’s comments sent after your submission of the tasks. Review thoroughly the two tasks before the final test.

You are supposed to submit Task A first, and then Task B.
The deadlibe for Task A in the second period is August 2, 2019.
The deadline for Task A in the fourth period is January 4, 2020.
Remember to submit your two tasks no later than the deadlines.
