Outline
Information systems are mechanisms for collecting, processing, communicating, and using of information that is necessary for organizations or society. To adequately use information systems that are used in various social scenes, we do not only learn collect knowledge and technique about information technology, but also it is important that we gather and understand information accurately, apply to organization or society. For the purpose, this course aims to acquire ability to find and resolve problems creatively with constructing deep knowledge from wide viewpoints such as humanism, social, and the overall of organizations, from various academic fields' backgrounds.

This course is related to DP1, DP4.

Objectives
Learners will be able to:
- explain what information system is.
- explain the purpose, system architecture, practical cases and effect, about various kinds of information systems.
- understand the problems and improvements for conventional information systems.
3.
Grading Policy
This course evaluates at the following rate: reports (2 times) are 50%, examination is 50%.

Textbook and Reference

Requirements (Assignments)
Learners have to learn through reading a textbook for understanding. Also, learners should always watch the trend of technologies for information systems.

Note
When making reports, learners have to follow the rules such as cautions which are wrote on syllabus, expression for writing documents and so on. Especially, when you quote sentences, figures and tables from references, you have to conform the rules which is based on copyright law.
