Outline
Students will learn the following contents:
(1) Measuring instruments, tools and equipment used in car maintenance.
(2) Engine inspection and adjustment equipment, electrical system inspection equipment, inspection equipment, vehicle inspection and adjustment equipment and also equipment for automobile inspection.
(3) Equipment for body maintenance.
Although, in this lesson is mainly lecture form, exercises are carried out in pairs and you are asked to present the answers.
This lesson will acquire knowledge, techniques and attitudes on the DP2 and DP4 policy awards policy.

Objectives
Students acquire the principles, functions, structures, and handling methods of measuring instruments, work tools, adjusting equipment, inspection equipment, etc. necessary for automobile maintenance. Acquire the contents of basic automobile maintenance required for automobile engineers can also be explained.

Grading Policy
Students are evaluated by using the results of the 15th test (80%) and quiz (20%).
The answers will be explained after the test and quiz. An example of the answer is shown in LMS.

Requirements (Assignments)
Read the class content posted on the LMS as preparation. Please read through the applicable range in the textbook and reference book, and understand the contents. In addition, since some homework such as assignment will be shown almost every time, please finish it by next lesson. Approximately 1 hour for preparation, 2 hours for assignment and review.

Students are required to attend all lessons. Late arrival, leave early and absence are monitored.
Automobile Maintenance & Inspection 1 is a ◆ mark of compulsory subjects of the Automobile Technology Course [AT course].
We will conduct quizzes in the 8th meeting and check the understanding level towards the middle of the course. In addition to using LMS as an independent learning support, we will implement the Mobile-MARS test and questionnaire function as an interactive class as appropriate.

1. Lecture on measurement theory (measurement and inspection, foundation of measurement, measurement error, effective figure, etc.).
Preliminary study: Please read the textbooks P1 to 4 and understand the measurement outlines.

2. Lecture on the principle, structure, handling method and maintenance of measuring instruments (straight, caliper, micrometer) used for car maintenance.
Preliminary study: Read through textbook P 43 - 51 and understand general measuring instruments

3. Lecture on the principle, structure, handling method and maintenance of measuring instruments (dial gauge, cylinder gauge, and caliper gauge) used for car maintenance.
Preparation: Read through the textbooks P52 to 59 and understand general measuring instruments.

4. Lecture on handling method and maintenance of measuring instruments (thickness gauge, straight edge, platen, V block) used for automobile maintenance.
Preliminary study: Read through textbooks P59 - 62 and understand general measuring instruments

5. Lecture on the principle, structure, handling method and maintenance of measuring instruments (scoa, torque wrench, spring balance, and pressure gauge) used for car maintenance.

6. Lecture on handling method of tool and handling tool (spanner, glasses wrench, socket wrench, hexagon wrench) used for automobile maintenance.

10. Outline of engine inspection and adjustment equipment and lecture on structure and handling method of engine inspection and adjustment equipment (engine rotation meter, timing light, and compression gauge).
