Outline
In this course students study basic theory of economics regarding familiar topics which show economic cause and effect clearly. Those topics are the difference between simple commodity economy and capitalism, the advantage of the joint-stock companies, important role of the financial companies who can accelerate the economic development, the imbalance between supply and demand of labor forces and unemployment problems as its result, international economic relations, and the theory of exchange rate, etc. This course is related to the department's study objective 3.

Objectives
Through this course, participants will obtain necessary knowledge concerning major economic subjects. They will understand the figures of capitalism in comparison with planned economy, the role of economic policy by the central government, the difficulty to solve the unemployment problem, etc.
