授業の概要（ねらい）

　先生の講義も学生の発表も英語で行われます。
　This is a basic course for foreign students to learn about "management theory" and
about "major Japanese companies" in the English language. This course is designed to provide an introductory framework for understanding Japanese firms in the following steps:
　　1. To read a basic standard textbook on management theory.
　　2. To learn about Japanese industries.
　　3. To select some major companies in each industry.
　　4. To check overall information of the selected companies.
　　5. To evaluate the firms.

授業の到達目標

　The purpose of the course is to obtain general basic knowledge about Japanese firms, such as history, corporate governance, business establishments, operation, CSR, financial statements, etc.

　Grade Weight:
　Midterms (30 each) 60
　Final　　　　　　　 40

　Useful materials will be handed out at each class.

　Students are recommended to read frequently internet business news in English.
