Web Syllabus(講義概要)

　This is a Seminar class for TAEP (Teikyo Asia Exchange Program) students, and the taught language is English.
　The major goals of this seminar are the following three.
　1. Ensure the basic academic training required for the study of major subjects.
　2. Learn and experience the short thesis writing.
　3. Develop a good understanding on the world economic situation and the diverse ideas, and nurture the talents needed in this globalized world.
　To this goal, in the Seminar I (spring semester), students will first learn the basic academic kits, and secondly work in groups for the study and discussion on important world economic issues. In the Seminar II (fall semester), students are asked to write a short but formal thesis on the topics of their major.

　1. Be able to comment on the contemporary world economic issues.
　2. By deepening understandings on the commonality and diversity of the value judgement in various countries, develop a global point of view.
　3. Be able to write an academic and objective report.

　Presentation (40%), and Short Thesis (60%).

　None. Handouts will be prepared when necessary.

　If the reading materials are assigned, please read them before coming to the class.

　Pay attention to the world news.
