Course Description

   In addition to traditional religion, this lecture also take the humanist religion and the new techno-religion.
   Traditional religion includes animism, polytheism, monotheism, religion that does not place importance on God (Buddhism), and the like. The humanist religion has three denominations: liberalism, socialism, and evolution theory. The new techno-religion values human existence updated by the development of AI (artificial intelligence) and life science or the human data itself.
   Especially in the fall semester, we aim to more deeply reconsider the theme of life and death at each level of human, culture, civilization through analysis of various human religions by cultural studies.
