Course Description

This course is aimed at understanding scientific research method and its variety on the field of cultural properties through introduction of past studies. For fabrication of arts and crafts, obtaining raw materials and tools, establishment of processing technology and channels of distribution are required. Therefore historical, cultural, ethnological and technical background could be revealed by scientific research on arts and crafts. Although lectures include much scientific content, these are important opportunity to deepen understanding contact between historical and scientific research.
