Course Description

　Recent Asian economy came to face various new issues such as dominance of Chinese economy, emergence of India and latecomers in ASEAN, BRI, worsening income inequality, aging society and environmental problem and so forth. The world economic events such as US protectionism, Brexit, WTO, IT also give impacts to Asian economy. This class aims to understand up-to-date overview of the deeply integrated Asian economies as a region and discuss about the challenges. The first 30 minutes of each class will be used for the discussion of the news on Asian economy.
