Course Description

This class aims to understand the modern and contemporary Western history (1) through the fundamental concepts of capitalism, national state, war and peace, gender, globalism etc., (2) through the reading of the exerpts of the important historical materials. Student are expected to understand Western History in the light of the actuality of the contemporaneous world, and to consider how to make the world in the future.
