Course Description

In daily life, usually we are not aware of the presence of the law. But many troubles are occurred around us everyday. By using the law, we solve many of these troubles in our society. That is to say, it is necessary for us to know the law. You will study many kinds of laws, such as the constitution, the penal code, the commercial law, the civil code, the international law and so on, after a sophomore. This course deals with the concepts of jurisprudence which you will study after the next year. Focusing on the legal aspects of the matter, the class will examine the role of laws and the legal system of Japan. As a subject matter, we will use the topics which are reported in the press.
