Course Description

This course aims at developing a higher proficiency in field research methods through participants’ carrying out fieldwork in practice. Building on the knowledge acquired in the course "Field Research Methods" in the spring semester, each student goes out to the field of his/her choice, collects data, shares his/her experiences in the field back in the classroom and organizes the data into a paper.
Getting to know fieldwork through its practice will lead course participants to acquire a critical perspective on contemporary society as well.
