In the contemporary world, English can be a powerful tool to do many things – not least, to do sociology. This course presents a unique opportunity for students to build basic sociological knowledge via English practice; students will learn of a new way of seeing social phenomena as well as discover new horizon for sociological inquiries, as they brush up their communicative skills in English.
The course will be conducted basically in English and students of all levels of English proficiency are welcome. What it takes for doing sociology is, after all, not only language skills but also, or rather, interests, sincerity, and willingness to engage in the sociological practice.
