Course Description

In this course, several topics will be dealt with for the students to understand the current developing Asia. The topics will include, but not limited to, the history of the region’s economic development, poverty and inequality in Asia, “middle income trap”, how to finance the vast infrastructure development needs in Asia, and regional cooperation initiatives in Asia. Through this course, the students are expected to understand both sides of the rapidly growing Asia and the region’s various development challenges in a balanced manner.
