Course Description

Since the citizen-judge system began, topics about crime have become more familiar than ever before. Recently, in the field of psychology, research of the average person’s thinking about crime has been increasing.
The study of ordinary people’s attitude toward crime is in the area between criminal psychology and sociology. To understand the psychology of general citizens about crime, we will discuss crime prevention measures and the influence of the mass media on crimes. Throughout the course, students will acquire knowledge of research methods and recent trends.
