Course Description

During this class, we will think about various topics by reading newspapers from many countries. Besides newspapers from the English-speaking world, we will also think about the economic and politic situation in Asia, Europe, and other regions. Every week, we will read an article written in English and analyze it in Japanese. Through this process, the students will improve their reading skills in English. The fall semester will be mainly dedicated to the Asia-Pacific region. However, we will change chosen topics according to the news.
