Course Description

The goal of this seminar is to grasp a balanced understanding of public finance issues in Japan. Students are needed to make a presentation about Japanese social problems. In the autumn semester, firstly, we read some papers relating to taxation, poverty, income inequality, and so on. Finally, students will make a presentation about the public policy topics. Grading will be based on participation in the class discussion and the quality of the presentation.
