Course Description

The civil code is basis of private law and general provisions of the civil code is foundation of civil code. Therefore, we can’t understand civil law without learning general provisions of the civil code. Typically, general provisions of the civil code are part of General (part.1) but general rules influence over private law system (moreover to all legal system in Japan). In this lecture, we had to study general rules of Japanese civil code as major subject.
