Course Description

In a broad sense, communication among people dates back to prehistoric times. Modern society was constructed over time through various communication methods such as verbal and soul communication. Consequently, if we attempt to reveal the history of a place within in a given period, it is necessary to study the specific means of communication in that context. This perspective on history is known as communication history. This course then examines how a new historical perspective of communication history can serve as a vital reference for future research in the context of not only China but also Asia in general. The goal of this course is to provide you with ancient Chinese history from the previous perspective.
