Course Description

In the Pacific Rim region after the World War II, the spirit of regional cooperation brought up from the result of the postwar processing is being left as a valuable experience for the world's free economic system, and the entire region continues to develop. However, there are many unresolved issues such as poverty, ethnic conflict and environmental destruction, which are extremely complex.
This lecture outlines the situation in the Asia-Pacific region from the 19th century to the end of the World War II and mainly explains the influence that how Japan advance into Asia in the series of time after the war II.
