Course Description

We study children’s development and infant education. First, we look at images of real situations depicting children’s development and various situations of infant education. Through those images, we learn what kind of physical and human environment is necessary for children to realize optimal growth, and what kind of methods are adequate for infant education. Then, we learn about the history of infant education and try to grasp the present problems to be solved in Japan. At the same time, we learn about picture books and toys used in infant education.
