Course Description

This class will focus on the development of systemic transformation from a Socialist to Capitalist system. Since the collapse of the Berlin Wall and the commencement of the transition in Central and Eastern economies and Former Soviet Republics, a quarter of the century has already passed. Almost all the people at that time dreamed that since the cold war ended the world would become more peaceful and prosperous for both Western and Eastern nations. But due to the acceleration of the Globalization and the fluctuant development of the world economy since, we now see less hopeful future of the world. In this semester we will focus on the reactionary development of the developed countries and find out what went wrong in those regions. We might be able to think of the future of Globalization.
