Course Description

This lecture will approach pedagogy through thinking about what is the contemporary issues about school education in Japan and in other countries. Students will be required to reflect on their own school experiences and think about what is important problems and issues today's schools are facing. Through lectures and discussion on recent problems about school education, we will consider what kind of vision and philosophy current schools need to have.
