Course Description

Intangible Cultural Heritage is an intangible cultural product of Human Cultural Activity, and the drama, the music, and the craft techniques are its typical examples.
This course focuses on Intangible Cultural Heritage of Japan and the world, and provides students with the knowledge of the types, the methods of research and evaluation, and the methods of protection of the Intangible Cultural Heritage.
Also in particular, this course focuses on the Intangible Cultural Heritage in danger of disappearing, the utilization of Intangible Cultural Heritage for tourism, and Intangible Cultural Heritage in our daily lives.
