Course Description

Central Asia is located in the central part of the Eurasian Continent connecting the East and the West. The Silk Road penetrates the Eurasian Continent and Central Asia. Through the Silk Road, various religions as well as goods were transmitted to the East and the West. Also, it was a way for many people to come and go. The Silk Road has played a big part in our cultural exchange and the history of human interaction. In this lesson, we will focus on Central Asia and Silk Road, in particular, we will take up the Ak-Besim archaeological site in the Republic of Kyrgyzstan as a concrete example and learn about the history and culture of that era.
