Course Description

The course aims at understanding cultures. Culture is developed through the contact between people and the environment where they live. In this sense, students learn nature of the area first. After nature they learn history, language, religion of the people briefly. Since what they have been eating is one of the visible representations of its culture, food is focused in particular. In this semester, cultures in the Philippines are discussed.
