Course Description

This seminar mostly focuses on the ASEAN countries. The ASEAN countries plan to build the ASEAN community (which is composed of the three communities, ASEAN Economic Community, ASEAN Political-Security Community, and ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community ), and has already launched ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) in the end of 2015. On the other hand the ASEAN would take an initiative role in the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) which is supposed to be built by the 16 countries mostly in Asia. (They are the ASEAN countries, China, Korea Rep, Japan, India, New Zealand and Australia.)
This seminar targets to grasp the feature of each of the ASEAN countries and to understand the economic relationship between Japan, China, USA, or EU and each ASEAN member country.
Steps to go forward this seminar:
①To grasp the feature of each of the ASEAN countries in terms of economics, politics, society, culture, and religion and to compare the result of each country.
②Next, to investigate the characteristics of economy of each country in the ASEAN.
③After ① and ②, to study the economic relationship between Japan, China, USA, or EU and each ASEAN member country and the economic relationship among the ASEAN, through trade or economic aid.
④Each student joining this seminar is supposed to make up a comprehensive report by the end of the autumn term about certain country in ASEAN, in which the economic relation between Japan and the country must be compulsory noted.
.For achieve these steps, each student might choose one ASEAN country and research necessary information about the country and then make a presentation about the research result in turn.
