Course Description

Environmental hygiene engineering is a technology to properly control hazardous chemical substances to prevent their release to the environment and to protect human health due to exposure to such chemical substances. In this lecture we will focus on the health risk assessment in the workplace as well as the administrative framework and management system for protecting workers from health problems due to exposure to various industrial chemicals. Topics on the Globally Harmonized System by the United Nations for the classification and labeling of chemical substances (GHS) will be included.
