Course Description

In this class, students will study the basic key concepts in English of various fields of humanities and social sciences, including global issues, linguistics (semantics, pragmatics, cognitive linguistics), theory of communication, and critical thinking. They are expected to understand these key concepts, corresponding them to Japanese equivalents, and how to utilize them to compose English essays.
