Course Description

This seminar is aimed at third-year and fourth-year students in the French course of the Department of Language Studies. The global approach of the seminar will revolve around developping their knowledge of France and the French speaking countries societies and cultures.
They will work on various type of materials, including cartoons, arts, songs, folktales, litterary and academic texts. The students will do oral presentations on these topics, and will discuss, debate with the entire class. They will develop their skills in reading, analyzing documents and explaining them to the class. In doing so, they shall be able to maintain a certain level of French conversation.
