Course Description

There are a significant number of visitors from Japan to Oceanian region, or lively other international exchanges between Japan and the region recently. It seems, however, that students from elementary school even to university in Japan have generally insufficient learning opportunity to study the region. Therefore, this course provides students briefly with overall general knowledge on Oceania and with specific perspectives on the sub-regional studies, particularly on New Zealand and other Pacific islands.
