Course Description

The purpose of this course is to learn the basic and fundamental knowledge of Africa.
For the spring and autumn courses, we will give a lecture on the situation of the 54 African countries.
In particular, the autumn course aims to have the fundamental knowledge of the Eastern, Western and Central African countries.
The goals of this autumn course are:
・to understand and explain the Eastern, Western and Central African countries from various perspectives such as history, culture and key challenges,
・to understand and explain the political and economic problems of the Eastern, Western and Central African countries as well as their future potential, etc., and
・to understand the relationship between the Eastern, Western and Central African countries and major countries of the international community (Japan, Europe, America, China, Asia etc.) in international political and economic relations.
This course will be conducted in Japanese.
