Course Description

In this course, we will explore, assess, and investigate the international exchange within marine Asia - particularly among the regions surrounding Japan. As a course instructor, I hope that students develop their own awareness of issues. To do so, I open up the space for seminar participants to comprehend the opinions based on the surveyed materials. For those who are interested in oriental modern history, this course is also intended to help develop skills in research, arrangement, review, summary and discussion, which are necessary skills when students work on their term papers and graduation theses.
