Course Description

　Today, moral education is becoming one of the biggest concerns of the public and teachers are increasingly expected to take responsibility for children's moral development. However, educational reform about moral education does not seem to achieve the effect.
　This course will explore the fundamental issues of moral education in schooling through examining the historical and philosophical context of Japanese moral education and analyzing the classroom practices of moral subject (Dotoku).
