Course Description

Researchers conduct a survey to grasp various social phenomenon phenomena, but it is hard to go through a target phenomenon completely. Therefore, most surveys are conducted on a sample extracted from a population. Statistics aim to estimate the character of a population from a sample. This course targets graduate students who are going to conduct a survey for their master's thesis. They learn basic statistics, how to handle data statically, and how to analyze and explain the results. Moreover, they analyze data statically using a statistic application. The statistic application used in this course is SPSS, but if the students want to use other statistic applications like Excel and R, we use it.
