Course Description

Human beings have a system to live healthy, but we sometimes get sick, such as a cold, lifestyle-related disease, or cancer. When treating these diseases, various drugs are prescribed from a hospital or purchased from a pharmacy. Recently, new drugs with higher efficacy and safety have been developed. On the other hand, since drugs can have unexpected side effects, we also need to have the right knowledge how to take drugs. In this lecture, I will introduce the causes of disease and how drugs act on diseases, and also introduce how new drugs are developed.
