Course Description

The purpose of this course is to deepen students' understanding of Asian economic history. In this class, we will discuss history of Southeast Asia from the perspective of economic history. Especially we will pay attention to Southeast Asian countries' relations with neighbouring countries, Western countries, China, and Japan. Details will be decided after the first meeting. Copies of references will be distributed in class.
