Course Description

Following the first semester, the aim of this course is to help students acquire a holistic understanding of Latin American society and culture.
This course focus on a gap-widening societies and neocolonialistic situation caused by development projects, dealing with a lawsuit battle between a huge American oil company and a indigenous people in Ecuadorian amazon, a background and consequent of the Cuban Revolution, "Water War" in Bolivia and so on.
