Course Description

This course is aimed at practical understanding of preventive conservation method and correction management in museum through scientific investigations. This practice consists of three contents, scientific investigation, conservation and correction management. As for scientific investigation, observation under microscopes, photography and elemental analysis by the X-ray fluorescence spectroscopy are carried out. Archaeological objects are conserved through photography, observation, cleaning, stabilization and consolidation in this course. For studying correction management in museum, lecture and museum visit are held.
