Course Description

“Cultural Anthropology II” is designed to introduce students to the concepts, methods, and practices of cultural anthropology through familiarizing the student with a variety of ethnographic studies. Cultural anthropology does not provide the mere know-how of dealing with the others, but different perspectives to think about and pursue an inquiry into the otherness and it teaches sensitivity to cultural differences. This semester will focus on the mobility of people and non-human entities to think about what it means to live in the globalized world.
