Course Description

This class is aimed to deepen the understating of the current circumstances of the Korean Peninsula using the data on Korean society and culture. In detail, to understand Korea today, the students will learn mainly about customs and culture of traditional society and have opportunities to think about how those are established currently and inherited from the past. While eliminating unfounded prejudice and bias and fully understating that each country is different, the students will learn how to think about and accept as “different culture”. In this class, Korean letters, traditional music, clothing, food and house will be introduced.
