Course Description

Nowadays, cultural exchanges through international tourism are generalized, and we can say that tourism remarkably reflects the cultural situation of the global society. For that reason, studying contemporary tourism from the perspective of culture is an effective way to understand the cultural features in modern society. In this lecture, we will study the fundamental social and cultural theories that are required to understand aspects of contemporary culture, and based on these theories, we will look into diverse tourism issues in cultural perspective.
