Course Description

In this course, lectures will be given on the relation between administration and assembly, the functions and problems of interest group, and the roles and problems of the citizen participation, as well as on the idea and roles of local autonomy, the relation between central and local governments, and the situation of the local politics.
In addition, we will study the theory of policy process, decision making and implementation process. This course also includes lectures on the present conditions and problems of the Japanese administrative reform.
