The Middle East is an ethnically and religiously diverse region. In this class, we will study each country's situation in the Middle East, regional issues, and social and cultural characteristics of this diverse region, taking into account its historical background. Specifically, students will learn basic knowledge of the three major religions of the Middle East, Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, and then look into Turkey, Iran, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia.
