Course Description

The unexpected outbreak of Covid-19 has heavily affected on tourism industry. Nevertheless, once the pandemic is brought under control, it is expected that the demand for travelling will be greater than ever.
Following the course of Tourism Industry in Japan I, this course provides a comprehensive overview of Japanese tourism industry. Students will learn about i) inbound tourism, ii) “new tourism”, that is, thematic tourism such as ecotourism and iii) the related industries such as hotels and transportations.
